About
About
The Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship is a dedicated centre for social entrepreneurship at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Our goal is to maximise the positive impact of social entrepreneurship across the world. We foster innovative social transformation through education, research, and collaboration.
Developing talent
We offer world-class graduate education that provides students with the vision and skills to bring together market-based approaches and social innovation. Our programmes include Impact Lab and Leading for Impact, open to students at the University of Oxford, and Map the System, open to institutions from around the world. We also offer funding opportunities to support ventures seeking to solve systemic problems through our annual Skoll Venture Awards.
Advancing research
We generate research that contributes to the theory of social entrepreneurship and its practical applications to address critical global challenges whilst developing and supporting a network of academics and practitioners to disseminate this knowledge globally. Our current research initiative, the Systems Change Observatory, aims to build a community of practice and research focused on long-term empirical study of systems change efforts in the social impact space.
Creating a collaborative hub
We connect social entrepreneurs with thought-leaders and key players in business, government, and philanthropy to enhance social impact. We host the Skoll World Forum annually in Oxford, the world's premiere convening for advancing entrepreneurial approaches and solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. We also hold a number of other events open to the public throughout the year, and bring people together through initiatives such as our Randomised Coffee Trials.
